Introducing our Lived Experience rōpū
We welcomed our interim Lived Experience rōpū in November 2021.
The rōpū was established to enable Te Hiringa Hauora to imbed the lived experience perspective into the governance of the programme. As a kaupapa, Nōku te Ao seeks to be driven and informed by matauranga Māori and lived experience knowledge at every level of the programme. The establishment of this group is an opportunity to continue to honour those whom we serve through our work.
The interim rōpū will meet quarterly to work with Te Hiringa kaimahi to create a process for integrating lived experience perspectives into design and delivery of the many work streams. They will also be a sounding board for Te Hiringa staff to ensure we hearing the voices of the lived experience community from the grassroots.
The membership is as follows:
Tui Taurua, Chair
Chloe Fergusson-Tibble
Egan Bidois
Jono Selu
Edith Moore
Daniel Goodwin
Kelly Pope
Across the group, we have a wide reach of networks including Māori, Pasifika, rainbow, disability, public and NGO sectors, and within academic spaces.
The current rōpū will hold this space until formal applications for a permanent rōpū open in late 2022.
